Local artists and designers appropriated the entire space at Off the Kerb gallery for the duration of the festival. This included the gallery stairwell, where Milly Sleeping presented a collection of wearable works that visitors were encouraged to try on and borrow as they viewed the accompanying exhibitions.

I Feel Fine
For the L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival Cultural Program of 2009

Contributors: Evian Lee (formerly of Von, with Lui Hon), Emma Grace, Gracia Haby and Louise Jennison, Hua (Tam Hua), Jasmina Krupic, Sheena Murray (Sheena Roberts)

Designers were briefed to consider the way dress impacts upon sensation and experience. A feature of the exhibit was a suite of collars made by Evian Lee from unconventional materials including tyvek and plaster. I Feel Fine was the partner stairwell installation to Borrow at Off the Kerb during LMFF 09.

At the end of 2008, after two and a half chiefly charm-filled years, Imp Gallery closed its doors as a gallery space. But before doing so there was time for one final group exhibition, time for The Last Hurrah!; one last celebration before the caravan readied itself to roll in the direction of new things.
