A Whisker of Light

2018

Saturday 3rd of February – Sunday 29th of April, 2018
Maitland Regional Art Gallery, 230 High Street, Maitland, NSW

An exhibition of works on paper, comprised of a flock of twenty-one birds both floating on the wall and framed, five concertina artists’ books, four hundred and forty-six postcard collages arranged in tonal gradation, and one rogue Delias hübner.

A Whisker of Light provided us with the chance to re-exhibit a work comprised of postcards and drawings previously shown, though in slight variation, as part of All breathing in heaven, at Geelong Gallery, in 2013, and By This Unwinking Night, at Latrobe Regional Gallery, in 2012.

Alongside this work, a selection of artists’ books, currently on display as part of Looped, at State Library Victoria, 2017–18, and two Great auks, last seen as part of In Your Dreams, at Counihan Gallery, 2014, were also included.

A Whisker of Light, in 2018, is the first large exhibition of our work we have not personally installed.
